    About the Roles

    Thompson Health Care is seeking experienced Catering Attendants for our Boronia House Nursing Home. Part-time and Casual positions for morning and afternoon shifts are on offer, with both weekday and weekend shifts available.

    We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who have high levels of organisational and customer service skills and are able to work effectively in a team and with our elderly residents. The successful candidates will be committed to quality, safety and providing excellent customer service to all of our residents.

    Catering Attendant Skills & Experience:

  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to providing quality services to residents
  • Knowledge of infection control procedures
  • Previous catering/kitchen hand experience in a healthcare setting, desirable

    About the Role

    Thompson Health Care is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a permanent part- time position offering morning shifts on Wednesday and Thursday. The successful candidate will work alongside our Director of Nursing and Deputy Director of Nursing to provide quality care for our residents.

    Duties

      • Ensure the highest clinical and resident care to meet the resident’s individual needs and enhance quality of life
      • Ensure resident care and treatment is documented to meet regulatory requirements
      • Communicate effectively with residents, medical practitioners, allied health professionals and relatives
      • Provide leadership and supervision of other nursing staff
    Skills and Experience

    • Current registration with AHPRA and preferably 3 years or more experience in an aged care setting
    • Have sound knowledge of ACFI documentation or willing to learn
    • Skilled communicator and ability to build rapport with others
    • Confident and experienced in supervision of other nursing staff
    • Strive for excellence in customer service and promote an environment of harmony and trust

    About the Role

    Thompson Health Care is currently seeking a Maintenance Officer to assist with the general upkeep of their Boronia House Nursing Home in St Marys. The successful candidate will be working with the Maintenance Officer to help ensure all maintenance matters are completed in a timely manner including both preventative and corrective maintenance actions and general property repairs.

    The successful candidate will:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years' experience working in maintenance
  • Strong commitment to safety in the workplace
  • Possess good communication and organisational skills
  • Be able to work proactively to identify problems including assessing and prioritising work
  • Have the ability to recognise, escalate and resolve maintenance matters which require assistance
  • We are looking for a dedicated individual who will be able to work proactively to ensure all maintenance jobs are completed to the highest standard. All staff will be fully trained on the Thompson Health Care procedures and processes. The successful candidate will be required to provide a police check.

    About the Role

    Thompson Health Care is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chef to lead our catering team. This is a full time position at our Terrey Hills Nursing Home which is home to 104 residents. The role is for morning shifts from Monday- Friday. This is a fantastic opportunity which allows the candidate to be involved in the development and leadership of their catering team along with building upon their management and customer service skills to ensure the delivery of best quality, nutritious meals for our residents.

    This role is ideal for someone who is interested in working in aged care and enjoys cooking for a wide range of dietary requirements. Thompson Health Care work on an innovative and exciting 28 day rotating menu.

    Duties:

    • Ensure the catering department of the Nursing Home is managed and maintained at a high standard
    • Generate high quality meals are prepared and delivered to residents
    • Ensure adequate supplies are on hand for the catering requirements
    • Monitor and ensure safe work practices are followed at all times
    • Provide leadership for other catering staff
      Skills & Experience:

    • Trade qualifications in Commercial Cookery with a minimum 4 years’ experience
    • Experience in running a busy kitchen operation
    • Ability to work under high pressure situations with excellent time management
    • Strong interpersonal skills, delegating tasks and excellent customer service skills
    • Knowledge of food safety and HACCP guidelines highly desirable
