About the Role

Thompson Health Care is seeking a caring and enthusiastic candidate for our Recreational Activities Officer position. This role is on Monday through to Friday from 9:30- 5:30 pm offering 37.5 hours.

This is a great opportunity for a Nursing Assistant looking to step into a more creative and dynamic role while still assisting residents in their daily activities.

The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives on keeping active, enjoys interacting with people and being creative. The role involves organising and running activities, sourcing entertainment and assisting with residents daily activities.

Skills & Experiences

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Nursing Assistant or Lifestyle Officer

    About the Role

    Thompson Health Care is seeking an experienced Catering Attendant for a permanent part time position with morning shifts on Monday and Tuesday and afternoon shifts on Wednesday- Friday. The ideal candidate will also be keen to work upskill themselves to work in the other hospitality teams.

    The successful candidate will work closely with the catering team to assist in the preparation and delivery of quality meals to our residents. We are looking for a bright candidate who is committed to quality, safety and providing excellent customer service to all of our residents.

    Duties:

  • Assist in the preparation of food
  • Serving of meals: depending on shift times this may include a combination of breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and supper
  • Setting up for the next meal service & general kitchen cleaning and maintenance/li>
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Skills & Experience:

  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work well with staff

  • Minimum 2 years catering/ kitchen hand experience

      Thompson Health Care is seeking experienced Nursing Assistants on a casual basis with a view to be made permanent. There are morning and afternoon shifts available including of weekends. Work with the dedicated, supportive nursing team to assistance residents with their daily activities and personal care.

      Duties

    • Provide quality care according to the current Resident Care Plan to meet the individuals needs and enhance quality of life
    • Assist residents with daily living activities, grooming, mobility and nutrition

    • Have minimum 2 years’ experience in aged care
    • Have Certificate III or Certificate IV in Nursing

    Tarragal House located in Erina is seeking a Wound Care Coordinator on a part-time basis working 17 hours per week with further registered1 nurse shifts available. This is fantastic opportunity for a keen Registered Nurse who is passionate about working with the elderly and seeking to work in a supportive, friendly environment.

    Duties

  • Ensure the highest clinical and resident care to meet the resident’s individual needs and enhance quality of life
  • Ensure resident care and treatment is documented to meet regulatory requirements
  • Communicate effectively with residents, medical practitioners, allied health professionals and relatives
  • Provide leadership and supervision of other nursing staff
  • Skills and Experience

  • Current registration with AHPRA, preferably 3 years or more in an aged care setting
  • Experience in wound care is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of ACFI documentation preferred
  • Confident and experienced in supervision of other nursing staff
  • Strive for excellence in customer service and promote an environment of harmony and trust
