About the Role

Thompson Health Care are seeking a Registered Nurse and Nursing Assistant on a casual basis at our Nursing Home in Randwick. There are both weekday and weekend shifts on offer. The successful candidates will work with our supportive management and nursing care team.

Our Milford House Nursing Home is a 45 bed Home and is led by our Director of Nursing Suzanne Hobart.

Registered Nurse Skills & Experience:

  • Current registration with AHPRA and 2 years or more experience in an aged care setting
  • Have sound knowledge of ACFI documentation or willing to learn
  • Confident and experienced in supervision of other nursing staff
  • Skilled communicator and ability to build rapport with others
  • Strive for excellence in customer service and promote an environment of harmony and trust
  • Nursing Assistant Skills & Experience:

  • Have minimum 2 years’ experience in aged care
  • Have Certificate III or Certificate IV in Nursing
  • Strive for excellence in customer service and care
  • Have an interest in working with the elderly

    Thompson Health Care is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic candidate for our Recreational Activities Officer position. This role is on Monday through to Friday from 9:30- 5:30 pm offering 37.5 hours. This is a great opportunity for someone seeking full time work and who is passionate about working with the elderly. The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives on keeping active, enjoys interacting with people and being creative.

    Skills & Experiences:

    • Minimum 2 years experience in similar role eg. Leisure and Lifestyle coordinator
    • Have experience in organising and coordinating recreation activities for residents including bus trips, afternoon tea, running bingo sessions, group activities

    About the Role

    Thompson Health Care is seeking an experienced Catering Attendant on a casual basis for weekday shifts. We are seeking a candidate who would be keen to work within our 4 Northern Beaches Homes. There are afternoon and morning shifts available on weekdays and the ability to step into a Cook role is highly desirable.

    The successful candidate will work closely with the Chef and Cook to assist in the preparation and delivery of quality meals to our residents. We are looking for a bright and happy candidate with a passion for food presentation and delivery.

    Duties

    • General preparation of residents’ food and delivery of meals
    • Maintenance of an orderly and hygienic kitchen as directed by the Chef
    • Understand and comply with the Home’s Food Safety Program
    • Ensure kitchen equipment is clean and infection control policies are followed
    • Skills and Experience

    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Catering Attendant
    • Follow safe work procedure guidelines and have knowledge of HACCP guidelines
    • Confident in preparing and serving food to elderly residents
    • Strive for excellence in customer service
