    About the Role

    Thompson Health Care is seeking experienced Nursing Assistants on a casual basis with a view to be made permanent. There are morning, afternoon and night shifts available on offer during the week. The successful candidate will work closely with the dedicated Registered Nurse team to provide a high standard of nursing care to the residents.

    Our Turramurra House Nursing Home is a 57 bed Home and is led by our Director of Nursing Fiona Flood.

    Duties

  • Provide quality care according to the current Resident Care Plan to meet the individuals needs and enhance quality of life
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, grooming, mobility and nutrition
  • Contribute to care plans and documentation
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with the Nursing Team
  • Promote harmony and foster teamwork in a caring environment
  • Skills and Experience

  • Have minimum 2 years’ experience in aged care
  • Have Certificate III or Certificate IV in Nursing
  • Strive for excellence in customer service and care
  • Have an interest in working with the elderly

    About the Roles

    Bowral House Nursing Home is a leading provider of residential aged care on the Southern Highlands. An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Cook to join the team on a part time basis offering 70 hours per fortnight.

    We are seeking a Catering Attendant who will be able on a full time basis.

    We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who have a high level of organisational and customer service skills and are able to work effectively in a team to provide fantastic service for our residents.

    The successful Catering Attendant candidate will have:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Catering Attendant
  • Follow safe work procedure guidelines and have knowledge of HACCP guidelines
  • Confident in preparing and serving food to elderly residents
  • Strive for excellence in customer service
  • The successful Cook candidate will have:

  • Must have Commercial Cookery certificate with minimum 2 years Cook experience
  • Experience in running a kitchen operation
  • Ability to work under high pressure situations and excellent time management
  • Strong interpersonal skills, experience in communicating effectively, delegating tasks and excellence in customer service skills
