Located in Frederickton, residents enjoy picturesque views from the Macleay Valley to the distant hills, all from the comfort of either a huge, covered veranda, dining / lounge area or your single ensuited room. Enjoy tasty home style meals prepared daily by our chef and her team, on site along with a 7 day recreational program and 24 hour registered nursing care.
Quality furnishings and fittings ensure residents of Macleay Valley House enjoy a relaxed, distinguished life. Living spaces are comfortable, modern and intimate. Beautiful, original oil paintings of surrounding districts are just one of the personal touches. Want to retreat into a spacious, private room that includes ensuite bathroom, air-conditioning and flat-screen television? Do it here. Want to entertain, be active or explore? Residents have many choices where they can entertain visiting families and friends, participate in local activities or simply relax and unwind.
Our facilities include modern computers with high-speed internet, in house spa, a cosy in-house cafe, inviting lounge and dining room areas, green courtyards and a refreshing, outdoor veranda.
The non-denominational chapel, decorated with hand-made stained glass windows, is a special place; whether you want to enjoy one of the many regular services or experience quiet reflections.
The hardest decision for anyone living at Macleay Valley House is what to do on any given day. Residents can choose from watching a film in the movie theatre, creating something in the dedicated arts-and-craft room, going sight-seeing in our Mercedes-Benz bus, (for wheelchair and ambulant residents to enjoy) or being pampered with a hair-cut, blow-dry or beauty treatment at the in-house beauty and hair salon.
Respect and understanding are our hallmarks. We treat everyone as a unique person. That’s why Macleay Valley House provides each resident with tailored care, including a specialised dementia care in a brand new secure wing. Residents can rest assured that while their needs may change, their place of residence need not. Our promise is to care for you like family.
