    About the Roles

    Thompson Health Care is seeking an experienced Catering Attendant and a Cook for our Bowral House Nursing Home. Part-time positions are on offer with both weekday and weekend shifts available, This is a great opportunity for a candidate seeking career growth as mentoring and ongoing development is on offer.

    The successful candidate will work closely with the catering team to assist in the preparation and delivery of quality meals to our residents. We are We are looking for an enthusiastic individuals who have high levels of organisational and customer service skills and are able to work effectively in a team and with our elderly residents. The successful candidates will be committed to quality, safety and providing excellent customer service to all of our residents.

    Catering Attendant Skills & Experience

  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with the ability to work well with staff
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to providing quality services to residents
  • Knowledge of infection control procedures
  • Previous catering/kitchen hand experience in a healthcare setting, desirable
  • Cook Skills & Experience

  • Must have Commercial Cookery certificate with minimum 2 years Cook experience
  • Experience in running a kitchen operation
  • Ability to work under high pressure situations and excellent time management
  • Strong interpersonal skills, experience in communicating effectively, delegating tasks and excellence in customer service skills
