An introduction to Boronia House, St Marys

This luxurious home combines the charm of rural western Sydney with up-to-date technology and modern convenience. Residents will enjoy the comfort of their single ensuited room or the private courtyards, dining / lounge areas, cinema and coffee shop. We also offer a small number double rooms – a great choice for couples.

Located in Greater Western Sydney, St Marys is a historic suburb, known as the gateway to the Penrith Valley, the purpose built facility was completed in June 2016, in one of Sydney’s fasting growing regions. The home offers a total 123 beds, including a Special Care Unit, all meals prepared on site and 24 hour registered nursing care. The home, offers a high standard accommodation and quality care for the discerning aged person.

Quality furnishings and fittings ensure residents of Boronia House will enjoy a relaxed, distinguished life. Living spaces are comfortable, modern and intimate. Beautiful, original oil paintings of surrounding districts are just one of the personal touches. Want to retreat into a spacious, private room that includes ensuite bathroom, air-conditioning and flat-screen television? Do it here. Want to entertain, be active or explore? Residents have many choices where they can entertain visiting families and friends, participate in local activities or simply relax and unwind.

Our facilities include modern computers with high-speed internet, a cosy in-house cafe and cinema, inviting lounge and dining room areas, green courtyards and a refreshing outdoor areas.
The non-denominational chapel, decorated with hand-made stained glass windows, is a special place; whether you want to enjoy one of the many regular services or experience quiet reflections.
The hardest decision for anyone living at Boronia House is what to do on any given day. Residents can choose from watching a film in the movie theatre, creating something in the dedicated arts-and-craft room, going sight-seeing in our Mercedes-Benz bus, (for wheelchair and ambulant residents to enjoy) or being pampered with a hair-cut, blow-dry or beauty treatment at the in-house  salon.

Respect and understanding are our hallmarks. We treat everyone as a unique person. That’s why Boronia House provides each resident with tailored care, including a” Special Care” wing within the home. All residents pay a daily fee including the basic fee.
Permanent residents also pay a deposit, paid either as a Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD) or
an additional Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP) or
a combination of both RAD and DAP or an accommodation charge, Pending the assessment by the Department of Social Services
Any outstanding bond amount will accrue interest at the Maximum
Permissable Interst Rate (MPIR) applicable at the time of permanent admission.
Any amount paid as a RAD is government guaranteed and
is refunded to the resident as per the Permanent Agreement

DAP: Daily Accommodation Payment
